Paintball Frequently Asked Questions
Is Paintball Safe?
Paintball is a very safe sport. You will be wearing safety rated full face masks and will receive a full safety briefing before every day begins. You will be accompanied by a fully trained Safety Marshall throughout the day. First Aid provision is on site at all times.
How old do you have to be to play?
You must be at least 10 years old to play at our site. We ask that a responsible adult remains on site with under 16’s throughout the day, although this adult does not need to take part in the paintball games themselves.
How far in advance must I book for an event?
Our booking system operates on a first come first serve basis. If there is a particular date you are looking to attend a paintball event we advise you to book early to avoid disappointment.
How many players are needed to play
At the moment we are only offering walk on events for players with their own markers, so you can book for only one or as many as you like until the event is full. Once we are able to offer rental events for the general public we will publish more details.
How much does it cost to play?
The Walk On price for our paintball events is currently £20 per person and should be paid prior to attending as part of the booking process.
Paintballs start at £10 for a bag of 500 depending on the type and quality you wish to purchase.
If you have any specific requirements for paint this can be purchased for you by prior arrangement.
We only allow paint that is purchased from the site to be used, but we are reasonably priced.
What should I wear to play?
Old clothes are a must. You should be comfortable during the day and bear in mind you will be running around in woods and potentially muddy areas. Walking type footwear is ideal. Paintballs have a gelatine shell with a vegetable oil fill which is coloured by food dye and are completely non toxic. The paint will wash out of your clothes however we cannot accept responsibility for any damage to the clothing you choose to wear.
Does being hit by a paintball hurt?
The paintballs travel at approximately 280 feet per second when fired from a marker, so when you are hit it may sting a bit and you will certainly notice you have been hit, however it is not that painful. Wearing baggy clothing during a game certainly helps.
What time should I arrive on game day?
You should arrive at 9am on site and expect to start the first game at around 10am.
Our Walk On events normally run until around 4.30pm.
Do you sell food and drink on site?
We currently sell water, fizzy drinks including energy drinks. Koka noodles, crisps and sweets. There is a Greggs, Fireaway, Tim Hortons and Black Rooster all located 5 minutes drive from the site.
